While me and Veddic waited in the pub, Fenrir explored Lorak Shaymer's wine cellar. Besides containing a lot of wine there was a locked and magical door. Fenrir stood well back and used his ring of Knock.
A sheet of flame shot out beside the door harmlessly and Fenrir entered, finding more steps leading down.

He came into a series of dungeon rooms and using his very useful new Sleep invocation sent to sleep a 'chainy thing' (it was a Chain Devil I think), a Black Pudding and four 'tentacly things.' (They were Otyughs)

Things were getting a bit much for him though so he (magically) told me and Veddic to come and join him. Veddic hit upon an idea and purchased some sheets from the landlord. We then cut out the eyes and with the aid of his Wind Walk spell turned into misty 'ghosts.'

We startled a maid on the way in through a window, who went off screaming 'My lord! My Lord!, but other than that we made our way to join Fenrir unmolested.

Well, Fenrir was a bit mean to me I think as he sent me down this corridor where there were four Minotaur Constructs. It was a bit of a running battle and I got battered by one of their axes which left a nasty bruise. I summoned crocodiles though and let them do my fighting for me. They were immune to Sleep so they had to be defeated properly.

After them, in a big room at the end of the corridor we battled another big tentacle thing. Now this is just a guess, but I think it may have been an Aboleth that had by some means become capable of moving around on land.

Well, it tried to dominate us, but our stern wills were too powerful for it and it ended up in a smoking ruined heap the same as everything else.

The chamber we were in was a dead end so we retraced our steps and found some more stairs that led further down into the dungeon. There was a door and water trap, but once again Fenrir's ring of Knock saved the day.
