[The adventurers Griffolk Ethyn the Dragon-Shaman, Corhim Sparkledingle the Gnome Wizard and Fangorino the Barbarian had been on a mission to follow Baroness Partick on the galleon known as the Dementor. Now they have escaped that evil place with some of the surviving crew and passengers.]

DAY 39 (day 28 of the voyage) ....

The Captain's pinnace sailed away from the Dementor and the shark infested waters that had suddenly surrounded it.

The boat contained:
- Fangarino - currently tied up in a barrel due to being under vampire control
- Griffolk
- Sparkledingle
- Bosun Redthorn
- Cookie Cook, a female gnome
- Midshipman Krondor, a female half-orc
- Private Pale, a marine
- Gina - a female servant
- Vincek - a servant
- Captain Pickles - a very drunken halfling

With ten people on board there was not much space, but small beings like Sparkledingle and Cookie could find small places to get some decent sleep.

DAY 40 (day 29 of the voyage)(15 days from Yag)

Weather: Fine

Today Fangorino remained under the power of the vampires and so also remained in the barrel.

Griffolk recieved a magical Sending message from Cavu;

'Don't worry you did your best! Please proceed to Yac'gharr Island for your final reward.
Go to the Tomb of Thamas the Demented. Ask for Lady L.'

Griffolk grumpily replied:
'Great, will do. By the way, next time you send us on a mission, how about a heads up as to what we are against.'

Griffolk did his best to help Redthorn and Krondor sail the boat.
Cookie was put in charge of the food supply. Water was no problem as Griff could create six gallons a day.

Sparkledinge studied his scrolls all day.

DAY 41 (day 30 of the voyage)(14 days from Yag Island)

Weather: Fine

There was a little confusion today as initially Redthorn was heading for Calimport.
When Griffolk figured this out he persuaded him to head for Yacg'harr Island.

DAY 42 (day 31 of the voyage)(13 days from Yag Island)

Weather: Fine

Today Fangornio had very much had enough of being in a barrel and flew into a barbarian rage. This, luckily, had the effect of helping him finally break the domination.

Later in the day they saw a sail on the horizon, but the avoided it.

DAY 43 (day 32 of the voyage)(12 days from Yag Island)

Weather: Fine

Good sailing.

DAY 44 (day 33 of the voyage)(11 days from Yag Island)

DAY 45 (day 34 of the voyage)(10 days from Yag Island)

DAY 46 (day 35 of the voyage)(9 days from Yag Island)

Captain pickles is seen to be sad as he has finally sobered up.
He eats alone at the back of the boat.

DAY 47 (day 36 of the voyage)(8 days from Yag Island)

Weather: Fine

Good sailing.

A sail is spotted but they avoid making contact.

DAY 48 (day 37 of the voyage)(7 days from Yag Island)

Weather: Fine

Good sailing.

DAY 49 (day 38 of the voyage)(6 days from Yag Island)

Weather: Fine

Good sailing.

Cookie came to Griffolk to tell him a lot of the food had gone missing and that they only had two or three days worth left.

He immediatly suspected the Captain, but the old sot was living inside Fang's old barrel now and if he had taken all the food he had eaten it now.

DAY 50 (day 39 of the voyage)(5 days from Yag Island)

Weather: Fine

Good sailing.

With the food stocks dwindling though, Griffolk decided to try fishing. They had no line or hooks so he decided to use Light of Lunia at night while jumping into the water at the end of a rope.

He soon attracked a creature with a large head and numerous teeth. The unsightly creature resembled a goblin from the waist up and a greasy octopus below.

Griffolk decided the Grindylow did not look very tasty and got back in the boat.

DAY 51 (day 40 of the voyage)(4 days from Yag Island)

Weather: Fine

Good sailing.

They were down to a day and a half of food.

DAY 52 (day 41 of the voyage)(3 days from Yag Island)

Weather: Fine

Good sailing. One day of food left.

Sparkledingle turned into a gargoyle and flew up 100ft into the air to see if he could spot any land. He did not see any though and he dared go no higher.

Griffolk had another night time fishing expedition and this time he attracked eight merfolk. 'We saw your light,' they said in Common.

He paid 21 gold for 21 fish and then another 10 for one of them, a young male called Pike, to guide them the rest of the way to Yag Island.

DAY 53 (day 42 of the voyage)(2 days from Yag Island)

Weather: Fine

Good sailing. Plenty of Fish to eat.

DAY 54 (day 43 of the voyage)(1 days from Yag Island)

The sailed into Tumunzah in the afternoon. They saw that their were already two ships anchored in the harbour.

Captain Pickles, Private Pale, Redthorn and Krondor went to Gyles's Inn, the one built into the cliffside.

This was where the others went too, but Gyles Finchey pointed at Sparkledingle and yelled, 'We don't your kind here!'

Captain Pickles had already bribed the innkeeper with a precious ring from the many on his fingers, so he coulds stay.

Sparkledingle tried to simply walk in, but Gyles was adamant.
'Get out of here before I set the dogs on you!'

The young gnome returned ten minutes later using magic to disguise himself as a human sailor.

Ten gold was spent on two bottles of decent Whisky and the three 'humans' toasted - if not a success, then at least a survival.

Fangorino, a barbarian true, but aware that he was pretty funky after several days being broiled in his own juices inside a barrel, went to get a wash in his room.

Dinner time arrived and Griffolk talked to Gyles.
'Oh, there has been a lot happening just latetly. Some adventurers dared to enter the Tomb of the Emberblade and now it has all kicked off. The King's Barrow has had lightning shooting out the top of it several times now! And the people up there have brought in some dwarf masons, so they are building something up there too now. Not that we don't get other odd things happening here. There was Old Maggie the Mad and her Turnip of Chaos, oh and the old Captain's house released a bunch of flaming skulls that killed a bunch of people. But then luckily a couple of goodie-goodie clerics turned up and ressurected them. It's been all go this summer, I can tell you.'

Sparkledingle was the only one to not sleep in the Inn. Instead he went back and slept on the Captain's Pinnace.

DAY 55

After breakfast, Griffolk, Fang and Sparkledingle headed up to the Tomb as they had been told to do by Cavu.

They noticed that they were followed by a seagull.

The coastal path led up the cliffsides and along the edge of the jungle to the high area of the tomb. As the trees thined they could see the dwarven building site. An armour plated wiman and a small female gnome came to meet them.

'Nobody is allowed up here,' said the woman
'On whos orders?' asked Griffolk.
'On my orders, turn around and bugger off you cheeky git.'
'We were sent by Cavu.'
'Who is that? Just turn around and walk back the way you came!'

They did as they were told and went back to the Inn. Griffolk wrote a message in his room, in the hope Cavu or someone would skrye him and see it.

He waited, but there was no answer.

DAY 56

Griffolk suddenly remembered that they had been told to 'Ask for Lady L'.

So up they went and this time when Sylvia met them, this is what they did.

And so, they met my wife Lavinia, who by now was very obviously pregnant.

"Lady L" said:
''
Oh well good, we could use some more help here and I suppose if Cavu trusts you, you can't be all bad. My husband is the one you want though and he's away at the moment. You are welcome here, but don't go in the barrow.''

They were also introduced to:

Sylvia - my cousin, a cleric of Sylvanus
Jiggles - a gnomish rogue
Irritator - a halfing wizard (previously a kobold!)
Molly - my servant
Jonathan - a talking seagull

The Blue Nixie could be seen anchored some way off from the east side of the island.

Later Lavinia came to them and said:

''
I've sorted a few things out. It appears that my husband and the idiotic half-orc that he hangs around with now have captured another pirate ship and have got a crew together.
It's a fast ship and since Cavu knows roughly where the Dementor is, he's going to get them to go and sort it out. From what Cavu tells me it is just drifting, maybe hoping to meet another ship and enslave another crew.
''
