In the morning Ensign Alan Munro, who still blamed Kirk for the death of his sister, contacted him to let him know the Aeroshuttle had been refabricated and was ready for space trials.
He suggested that the Caco be fitted with a computer system called 'BattleSim 9000' so they could have simulated battles. Captain Janeway had approved it.
Kirk set up the Eng Bot to install the new systems and then went on shore leave. The Caco was free to land at a spaceport on the planet's surface.
Sikaris was an advanced planet, with plentiful resources and no conflicts of any kind. Much of the planet was happy and playful.
Once they were all cleared by the doctor for entry, Kick entered himself into some live action shooter games and had a great time demonstrating his marksmanship skills to the population of the planet.
The games worked by overlaying a virtual reality over the area designated for playing the game in. This was forests, parks, city streets and such like. While they all ran around in this area virtual enemies would jump out and attack them. In other games they would fight each other. The games were very realistic, so Kirk's skills, all acquired during real firefights, were very easily applied.
He advanced quickly though the ranks and entered a competition for the next day that would earn him some money if he placed highly in the ranks.
